About QuickCBM
QuickCBM is a free, independent calculator for ocean freight planning: cargo volume (CBM), container fit and count, legal weight limits, pallet loading, and freight cost per unit. It is built for e-commerce importers, Amazon FBA sellers, freight coordinators and warehouse teams who need shipment numbers before talking to a freight forwarder.
Where the data comes from
Container dimensions and payloads follow published ISO dry-container specifications, with usable-volume figures set conservatively (below geometric volume) to reflect real-world loading. Pallet footprints follow EUR/EPAL, GMA and national standards. Weight-declaration guidance reflects the SOLAS VGM requirements in force since 2016. Reference values are reviewed periodically; if you spot something outdated, please tell us.
How the site is funded
QuickCBM is supported by advertising. Calculations run entirely in your browser and are not affected by advertisers. The tool provides planning estimates — final figures should always be confirmed with your freight forwarder and carrier.
